• Principal Investigators must have a PhD, MD or equivalent degree, and be research staff or a faculty member at a non-profit academic or research institution at the level of Assistant Professor (or its equivalent) or higher.
• Applications for the AICR Grant Program will be accepted only from the Americas (North America, Central America including the Caribbean, and South America). Applications from anywhere else in the world should be submitted to the WCRF International Grant Program (www.wcrf.org).
Other info: Individual grants offer a maximum funding of $150,000 plus 10 percent indirect costs provided over a two-year term. A limited number of three-year term Investigator-Initiated Research Grants (maximum of $225,000 plus 10 percent indirect costs) may be funded. The three-year grants are only awarded to support the conduct of epidemiologic or intervention studies that cannot feasibly be conducted within the 2-year period
