Other info: There is growing complexity in the delivery of head and neck cancer care and strong evidence to prove the importance of timely care. Given these facts and the dispersal of the population, it is imperative that highquality, multidisciplinary care is available in a variety of different practice settings. This RFA seeks proposals that examine the delivery of head and neck cancer care in non-academic and rural settings. Areas of interest include studies that evaluate quality control across heterogenous health systems, the benefits and risks of head and neck cancer care regionalization, efforts to improve time-to-treat by providing high quality care locally and overcoming the challenges with the implementation of multidisciplinary care in the community setting.

Requirements: Candidates for this award should reside in the U.S. or Canada, be medical students, residents, PhDs or faculty members at the rank of associate professor or below and be an AHNS member in good standing. Previous AHNS or AAO-HNS Foundation research grant recipients are eligible to compete for this grant. Candidates who have applied for support of the same research from other funding sources, and who are notified of an award from both another agency and from AHNS must choose only one of the awards.
